Lily Ko — artist ~ writer ~ inventor — and now also realtor — from sunny Gilroy California!
I have been drawing, painting, doodling since I could hold a crayon. My subjects were animals (mostly horses) & people's faces. I always grew up with pets from tadpoles, a praying mantis, hamsters, iguanas, guinea pigs, dogs, parakeets, bettas, and a cat. And of course my gardens!

I took up a career in technical writing & graphics design after college, with my computer consulting company, but art is what I love most! I also love photography and took first place in a contest with a photo from my first roll of film I developed, and patented a tea brewing apparatus listed in the U.S. Patents & Trademarks publications...and created a shorthand language... and now just happily painting away on my ranch amidst 30 varieties of fruit trees, in GORGEOUS CALIFORNIAN WINE COUNTRY... and cruising the fabulous CALIFORNIA COASTLINE where most of my inspiration for my art transpires! My mother told me painting is just a hobby, I can do it when I retire, but I said "mom, I am retired".

Since I started selling online in the summer of 2002, nearly 2500 paintings are gracing homes & businesses globally with paintings in All 50 U.S. states, Denmark, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Iceland...and the list keeps growing adding to the beauty and worthwhile investment to your Lily Ko collection! My art sees more of the world than I do. My goal is to have my paintings touch the lives of everyone.
